Shirley Bradley, 78, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007 in Azle. Graveside Service: 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Azleland Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at White's Azle Funeral Home.Shirley was born November 14, 1929 in New Bethleham, Pa. to Carl and Henrietta Freeman. She had been a resident of Azle for over 50 years. Shirley had served the city in many capacities, from October 1973 to October 1977 she was the Planning and Zoning Secretary, in January of 1980 she was the Assistant City Secretary and from October 1980 to November 1991 she served as Assistant City Manager. She also served as Interim City Manager from April of 1982 to July of 1982 and again from October of 1983 until February of 1984. Shirley served as a city councilmember from May 1992 to May of 1994. She also served as the Mayor of Azle from May of 1995 until May of 1999. Shirley was very proud of her tenure with the City of Azle. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Brad Bradley; brothers, Donald Freeman and Harold Dawson; and sister, Barbara Catchpole. Survivors: brother, Richard Freeman and wife, Micheline of Azle; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends
