Jan Barnes

Dr. Jan Barnes, 57, a loving wife and mother, of Weatherford, died Thursday, November 29, 2007 at a local care facility.

Born in Wichita Falls, Texas on July 13, 1950, Celia Jan Bacon was the daughter of the late George Washington and Lucille McKenzie Bacon. She married Dr. John W. Barnes in 1980. Jan was a practicing physician for 19 years.

Jan is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Dr. John Barnes of Weatherford; daughter, Cindy Barnes of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; daughter, Laurie Patterson of Weatherford; son, Bruce Barnes of Red Oak; son, Michael Barnes of McKinney; daughter, Ann Barnes of Corsicana; son, John Barnes II of Mesquite; son, Tom Pease of Corsicana; and six grandchildren.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
