William Stephen Adams, 61, a good father and friend, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007 in Abilene. Graveside: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Steve was born in Fort Worth on March 29, 1946, the son of the late William Arthur and Frances Marie Ashcraft Adams. He was a resident of Lueders for ten years. Steve's love for the outdoors and hunting was immense, along with his love for motorcycle rallies. He was very innovative, and especially loved the wind in his hair and the sun on his back. Steve enjoyed charity work, including Toys for Tots and blood drives for the various motorcycle assocoiations. He was a member of the Baptist Church, Hell's Angels, and the Irish Setter Association. Steve honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. Steve was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Sammy Adams on March 4, 2004. Survivors: Wife of 20 years, Denise Adams, of Lueders; sons, David Samuel Adams of Fort Worth, Jason Scott Adams and wife, Chanin, of Midlothian; daughter, Stacey Adams of Fort Worth; nine grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Huddleston, Sue Parker and husband, Bruce, both of Paradise; brother, David Adams of Paradise; numerous nieces and nephews; good friend, Sharon Ogle Adams of Fort Worth; and a host of loving family and friends.
