J.B. Smith , 42, a loving father, son, brother and "friend to those in low places", died Sunday, May 27, 2007.John Allen "J.B." Smith Jr. was born Dec. 31, 1964 in Odessa, Texas, son of John Allen and Sylvia "Pick" Harden Smith. A man among men, and known as a great worker, J.B. loved family gatherings, playing his guitar, and riding his motorcycle. He will be greatly missed.Survivors include parents, John and Pick Smith of Weatherford; sons, B.J. and Josh Smith of Alvarado; grandmother, Marybelle Gattis and husband, Harold of Odessa; brother, Thurmon Smith of Mineral Wells; sister, Michelle Barnett and husband, Bart of Poolville; numerous aunts, uncles, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of loving friends.Funeral services are scheduled 1 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2007 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford.
