James Donald Wakefield

Jim Wakefield, 60, a loving husband, father and son, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at an Azle hospital. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 25 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial: 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 31 at Andersonville National Cemetery, Andersonville, Ga. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday with Rosary said at 7:00 P.M. at White's Azle Funeral Home. Jim was born Nov. 17, 1946 in Missouri and moved to Texas in the early 80's after his retirement from the US Air Force. He and the former Jeanie Humphrey were married on May 14, 2003. For many years, Jim was a Boy Scout Leader and was a life member of the DAV and VFW. He was also actively involved in the Irish community and was a member of Holy Trinty Catholic Church. On Sunday, May 20th Jim received his BS in Business Administration from Columbia College. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Donald Wakefield and Jim Stafford. Survivors: wife, Jeanie Wakefield of Azle; sons, James Wakefield, Jr. of Boston, Mass. and Justin Wakefield of Azle; daughters, Jeanna Wakefield-Hamilton of Colorado Springs, Colo., Kali Wakefield and Kasi Wakefield both of Azle; 12 grandchildren; mother, Ann Wakefield of Michigan; brother, Daryl Stafford of Michigan ,and Robert Wakefield of Dallas; sister, Elizabeth Wakefield of Michigan; and a host of loving family and friends.
