Nomer Preston Upshaw, 85, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2006 in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Friday at White's Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial: Springtown Cemetery.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Nomer Upshaw was born November 15, 1920 in Rotan the son of James and Velma Noles Upshaw. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Boyd. Mr. Upshaw served in the US Army during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Herman and Pete Upshaw.
Survivors: Wife of 59 years, Nora; children, Lindsey Upshaw and wife, Bobbie of Cleburne, Brenda Thornton of Shreveport, LA, Mark Upshaw and wife, Martha of Thackerville, Okla; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Garland Upshaw and wife, Frances.
