Carl Hightower

Carl Hightower, 91, of Boyd, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, in Decatur. 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 23 at White's Funeral Home Chapel. 

Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Markley Cemetery.

 Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home.

 Carl, affectionately called "Blackie" by his family and friends, was born July 4, 1914, in Graham, the youngest of 10 children. He retired from Swift & Co. after 26 years, then worked 14 years for the Grapevine ISD. Carl was a man of honor and integrity whose family was his priority. 

He was a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church in Keller. 

Survivors include his beloved wife of 69 years, Jasil Hightower of Boyd; sons, Tracy Hightower and wife, Joyce, of Haltom City, Timothy Hightower and wife, Eleanor, of Boyd and Chockie Hightower and wife, Mary, of Springtown; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
