Jim H. Barker

Rev. Jim H. Barker, 81, a retired Church of God minister, died Thursday, January 22, 2004.

Jim H. Barker was born May 2, 1922 in Abilene to Jim and Grace Thompson Barker. He was an active pastor in Texas and Oklahoma for thirty years. Rev. Barker retired in 1984 before moving to Weatherford. He was a loving husband, father, and a God fearing man.

Survivors include wife, Armeldia Barker of Weatherford; son, Skyler Barker and wife, Janis of Weatherford; daughters, Bonnie Stevens and husband, Mark of OK, Reda Barker of Weatherford, Shelly Lowrance and husband, Steve of OK; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, H. Dean Barker of TN; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at North Main Church of God, Weatherford. 

Burial will be in the Dallas- Fort Worth National Cemetery. 

The family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home.
