Guy D. Redus

Guy D. Redus, 77, a retired teacher and World War II Navy Veteran died Monday, January 19, 2004 in Poolville.

Guy D. Redus was born June 30, 1926 in Devine, Texas to John Clement and Hazle Ann Slayter Redus. He was a graduate of Devine High School and Southwest Texas State Teacher's College. 

He retired after more than forty years of teaching. Mr. Redus was a devout believer of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and touched many students and others with his life. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charlie Redus.

Survivors include wife of 59 years, Loretta Perkins Redus of Poolville; sons, Robert D. Redus of Houston and Joe Mark Redus of Sabinal; brothers, John C. Redus and wife, Eddie, Bill Redus, George Redus and wife, Kay, Clifford Redus and wife, Lorraine, and Alan Ray Redus and wife, Sonya; sisters, Mildred Brooks, Sally Mangum, Jean Shornton; brothers-in-law, Robert Perkins and wife, Glenda of Poolville, Bruce Pollard of Wichita Falls; sister-in-law, Earline Cummings of Weatherford; and many nieces and nephews.
