Portia McLeish, 80, died Friday, November 14, 2003 at her Aledo home with her loving family.
Portia founded Mystic Plains Arabians along with her husband, Murray McLeish. They were also successful owners of three pet shops. She put on multiple horse shows and was a member of I.A.H.A. Her horses have won awards at the regional and national level. She concluded her life leaving her legacy, a love for horses and Mystic Plains Arabians, to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Murray McLeish and brother, Richard Isles.
Survivors include children, Collette McMillan and husband, Greg, Sharon Krumins and husband, John Bryers; grandchildren, Ethan McMillan and Colleen Swenson and husband, Wayne; great granddaughter, Katherine Swenson; brother Robert MacLeish.
