Alice Marie Ballard

Alice Marie Ballard, 87, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, in a local nursing facility. 

Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Gibtown Baptist Church. 

Burial: Gibtown Cemetery. 

Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home.

 Mrs. Ballard was born in Shackleford County and was a longtime resident of the Poolville area. She was a member of Gibtown Baptist Church.

 She married Hubert Ballard in 1936. He preceded her in death in 1996. 

Survivors: Sons, Hubert Ballard and wife, Judy of Poolville, Robert Ballard and wife, Nancy of Weatherford; daughters, Lenora Smethers and husband, Waymon of Poolville, Jane Guay of Weatherford; brothers, Dean Pieratt and Tom Pieratt, both of Bend, Ore., Herman Pieratt of Oklahoma; sister, Martha Atterberry of Honobia, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews.
