Anthony Wayne Campbell

A. Wayne Campbell, 80, died Thursday, September 18, 2003 in Azle.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Lakeside. 

Burial: Ash Creek Cemetery. 

Mr. Campbell was born Nov. 30, 1922 in Eastland. He retired from General Dynamics after 37 years. Wayne was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army and served in the Philippines and in the Battle of Okinawa. He was a member of IBEW and First Baptist Church of Lakeside.

Survivors: Wife, Louise Nowlin Campbell of Azle; children, Stephen Campbell and wife, Susan of Dennis, Karen Mead and husband, Bob of Los Angeles, Calif.; sister, Blanche Hall of Eastland; grandchildren, Mark Hutcheson and wife, Shannon of Southlake, Melissa Crijns and husband, Fons of Huizen, The Netherlands, Kathryn Mead of Los Angeles, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Emma Hutcheson and Chloe Crijns.
