Pauline H. Brister, 84, died Sunday, July 20, 2003 at a Fort Worth hospital.Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Azle. Burial: Azleland Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Mrs. Brister was born Jan. 14, 1919 in Archer City to the late Oscar and Lucy Seigler Haigood. She moved to Azle in 1948. She retired from Azle ISD as cafeteria supervisor. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, L.E. Brister, and brothers, Millard, Ewell, and R.D. Haigood. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.Survivors: Sons, Neal Brister and wife, Loretta, Gary Brister, all of Azle; grandchildren, Natalie Brister, Celia and Larry Crist, Scott Brister, Cynthia and Dan Price, Lyle and Debbie Brister; great-grandchildren, Tifton and Trait Crist, Justin and Jerred Price, Chase and Chance Boyd, Paige Brister; one great-great-grandchild, Traysen Crist; brothers, Marshall Haigood of Wichita Falls, Finley Haigood of Joy, Bobby Haigood of Wynnewood, Okla; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
