Evelyn Ada Cook

Evelyn Ada Cook, 96, died peacefully Wednesday, July 20, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Kermit City Cemetery, Kermit, Winkler County. Evelyn Ada Cook was born June 30, 1915, in Burton, W.Va., daughter of the late John and Louisa Carpenter Horner, and moved to Wink in 1928. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that enjoyed all sports and dancing. Evelyn lived a life filled with grace, love and beauty. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Judge Wendell E. Cook, and her parents. Survivors: Sons, John Cook and wife, Bettie Sue, and Garrett Cook; grandchildren, Steve Cook and wife, Ruby, Monica Luevano and husband, Steven, and Angelique Ratliff and husband, Lance; ten great-grandchildren, Mathew, Kimberly, Amber, Kaylynn, and Justin Cook, Jacob Hernandez, Baily Brown, Diego Luevano, Bryce and Kayleigh Sue Ratliff; sister, Lillian Horner; niece, Penny King and husband, Taylor; great-nephew, Milo; great-niece, Angela; and a host of loving friends.White's Funeral Home Weatherford, 817-596-4811
